Administrator Training (Colorado)

In compliance with CDPHE regulations (6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 26 – Home Care Agencies, 6.4.D, and 7.2.B.3), first-time home care Agency Administrators/Managers are mandated to undergo essential training. This ensures that the Administrators/Managers meet the following requirements:

For Class A (Home Health) Agencies:
a. Initial Training: Eight (8) clock hours of educational training within the first month of employment (prior to the initial licensure survey).
b. First-year Additional Training: An additional sixteen (16) clock hours of educational training before the end of the first twelve (12) months after designation to the position (a total of twenty-four (24) clock hours within the first twelve (12) months).
c. Annual/Continuing Training: Twelve (12) clock hours annually.

For Class B (Home Care) Agencies:
a. Initial Training: Eight (8) clock hours of educational training within the first month of employment (prior to the initial licensure survey).
b. First-year Additional Training: An additional (12) clock hours of educational training before the end of the first twelve (12) months after designation to the position (a total of (20) clock hours within the first twelve (12) months).
c. Annual/Continuing Training: twelve (12) hours annually.
