We are pleased to inform you that we implemented several updates to our home health skilled nursing competency program in 2024 as follows:
- New skill demonstration: in addition to wound care, negative pressure wound therapy, central line care, urinary catheter insertion and management, and point of care tests such as glucometer and INR, we added a demonstration of tube feeding and feeding tube site care to the skills.
- Interactive Q&A: in addition to interaction with the instructor, participants will be able to participate in interactive Q&A polls during the live, instructor-led session designed to reinforce learning.
- Revised written assessment: our 2024 written assessment was revised to incorporate new concepts and reinforce critical thinking.
- New CEUs/Contact Hours Certificate design.
Amity Healthcare Group continues to be dedicated to helping agencies meet the initial and annual competency requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVNs) in the home healthcare setting. We are working diligently to develop Amity’s Nursing competency to meet the specific needs of home health care. By utilizing the latest best practices, we are confident that our program will be beneficial to you. Don’t forget, our program is also certified by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
