Home Health Skilled Nursing Competency Program
The “virtual” Skilled Nursing Competency program offered by Amity Healthcare Group, LLC is designed to assist agencies in meeting initial onboarding and/or annual competency requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical/ Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVNs) in the home health care setting. This comprehensive program serves as a robust introductory foundation to nurses new to the home health setting as well as an excellent “refresher” for experienced home health nursing staff. While this program is not designed to eliminate the need for in-person observation and demonstration of nursing skills in the live direct-care setting, it streamlines the education and skills validation process for agencies by preparing nurses with theoretical and practical knowledge to enter the home health setting with increased confidence in their skills.
The Skilled Nursing Competency program offered by Amity Healthcare Group, LLC consists of two (2) parts that are delivered in the following manner:
Part I of the Skilled Nursing Competency consists of a didactic (lecture) delivered via on-demand videos and accompanying clinical procedures handouts.
In Part II of the Skilled Nursing Competency, attendees participate in a live, instructor-led interactive 2-hour skills session delivered via Zoom platform by a qualified nurse educator
